Our Physicians

Dr. Jeff Katzman

Jeffrey I. Katzman, M.D., F.A.O.O.

Dr. Katzman focuses on cataract surgery, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. He also continues to perform routine comprehensive examinations.

Dr. Katzman is board certified in ophthalmology (1978). He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the Greater Philadelphia Ophthalmic Society.

Dr. John Anhalt

John C. Anhalt, M.D.

Dr. Anhalt is an attending physician at the Cataract & Primary Eye Care Service of Wills Eye Hospital, as well as a member of Katzman Eye. His surgical areas of interest include cataract and anterior segment surgery, as well as minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).

Dr. Sarah Michelson

Sarah Michelson, MD

Dr. Michelson is a board-certified ophthalmologist and an Attending Physician at the Wills Eye Hospital Cataract and Primary Eye Care Service. She received her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan Eye Center in Ann Arbor.

Dr. Michelson’s main clinical interests are in comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract surgery, and the management of both routine conditions and ocular emergencies. She is also interested in complex anterior segment surgery.

Dr. Maura Nolan

Jurij R. Bilyk, MD

Dr. Jurij R. Bilyk is an attending surgeon on the Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery Service at Wills Eye Hospital and a professor of ophthalmology at Thomas Jefferson University. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry with honors from the University of Pennsylvania and obtained his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. 

Dr. Bilyk completed  his residency in ophthalmology at Wills Eye Hospital. His oculoplastic and orbital surgery fellowship training was completed at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary (MEEI) of Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Maura Nolan

Maura Nolan, OD

Dr. Nolan is a board-certified optometrist at Bailey Weber Wisner. She graduated from Shippensburg University with a BSc in Biology and obtained her doctorate of optometry from Salus University.

Dr. Nolan’s Clinical Rotation included specializations in retina surgery, glaucoma, and neuro-ophthalmology. Her clinical experience includes primary care, ocular disease, glaucoma, pediatrics, and emergency care.
